My Speaking Philosophy
I believe the most powerful presentations don't simply deliver information, but they create transformation.
A great keynote should do more than inspire people in the moment. It should challenge perspectives, spark meaningful conversations, and equip audiences with practical tools they can apply immediately.
Every audience member arrives with unique experiences, responsibilities, and challenges. My responsibility is to meet them where they are, create an environment of trust and connection, and deliver content that is both relevant and actionable.
I believe leadership begins from within. When people strengthen their confidence, emotional intelligence, communication, and resilience, they become more effective leaders, stronger collaborators, and more impactful contributors in every area of their lives.
My goal is for every attendee to leave seeing new possibilities for themselves and feeling empowered to take meaningful action.

As a speaker, I have a responsibility to:

Everyday Influence: How Self-Leadership Shapes Your Impact, Relationships, and Results
Strong leaders aren't defined by their title. They are defined by their ability to inspire trust, communicate with clarity, navigate change, and bring out the best in others.
In today's workplace, technical expertise and operational excellence are no longer enough. The leaders who create lasting impact are those who lead with emotional intelligence, confidence, resilience, and influence.
In this engaging and interactive keynote, Connie Holmes draws on nearly 30 years of corporate leadership experience, combined with her expertise in emotional intelligence, mindset, communication, and personal development, to help current and aspiring leaders bridge the gap between managing tasks and leading people.
Through powerful stories, practical strategies, and actionable tools, attendees will discover how to strengthen their leadership presence, communicate more effectively, build trust, and create a culture where people feel valued, motivated, and empowered to perform at their best.Self-leadership is the ability to take ownership of your mindset, emotions, choices, communication, and actions, regardless of your role or title. In this fun, engaging session, Connie Holmes combines nearly 30 years of leadership experience with her expertise in coaching, hypnosis, and human behavior to reveal practical strategies for thinking better, responding smarter, and becoming more confident and effective. Participants will discover how to get out of their own way, influence their environment, and take greater ownership of the results they create at work and in life.
Many people talk about leadership, and I can, too. However, my specialty is self-leadership because with this skill you take ownership of your choices, actions, and impact. When a person does this in their career, it drives influence, impact, and results. In personal lives, it teaches a person how to stop reacting to life and begin owning their life. When I work with my clients and students, I am teaching them the principles of self-leadership, so I am not bringing this to larger audiences. I speak regularly on leadership at any level; emotional intelligence, and communication, all aspects of self-leadership.

Audience Outcomes:
Define self-leadership and recognize how their mindset, choices, emotions, and behaviors directly influence their performance, relationships, and results regardless of their role or title.
Identify the internal patterns that get in their way and apply practical strategies to shift their thinking, manage their reactions, and respond more intentionally under pressure.
Use personal ownership and emotional intelligence to communicate more effectively, navigate challenging situations, and positively influence the people and environment around them.
Apply simple self-leadership strategies immediately to increase confidence, accountability, productivity, and effectiveness at work and in everyday life.

Great topic for nearly any organization as a deep understanding of emotional intelligence and how to apply it in every aspect of your life and career can make the difference between okay relationships to exceptional relationships. Relationships are in every area of our life, so to be emotionally intelligent, especially in the workplace, can lead to efficiency, increased productivity, better communication, and much more.
This topic has been delivered as a presentation and as a workshop.
As a presentation, it typically is delivered in one hour. As a workshop it is 2-4 hours.

Leadership isn’t a title. It is how you show up, make decisions, communicate, and take ownership of your impact. In Leadership at Any Level, I challenge the traditional idea that leadership belongs only to those with “manager” in their job title and shows how every employee has the ability to influence culture, strengthen relationships, solve problems, and contribute to organizational success.
Drawing from nearly 30 years of corporate leadership experience and my work in emotional intelligence, communication, coaching, and self-leadership, I provide practical strategies for developing personal ownership, confidence, accountability, and influence at every level of an organization.
Attendees will leave with a fresh perspective on what it means to lead from where they are and how everyday leadership can create stronger teams, more engaged employees, and a healthier workplace culture.

You learn how to talk, but did anyone teach you how to communicate? At the core of any great relationship is communication. At the core of any troubled relationship is communication.
Perfect for business professionals and entrepreneurs who desire to master their speaking skills to better showcase their business, products, or service impact.
This topic was most recently delivered at a non-profit summit where attendees learned the art of masterful communication for impact, influence, and funding. They learned the art of storytelling for effect, the necessity for building rapport, and how to "listen with your eyes" to get real-time feedback of the communication to make any necessary adjustments.

Perfect for organizations going through challenges due to new ownership, new leadership, new goals and priorities, or staff changes. Having impeccable communication to deliver messages to be heard and understood, emotional intelligence to navigate the emotions of all involved, and the leadership skills to balance it all are key to resiliency and the most effective outcome.
With an ever-changing environment, this topic is growing in necessity. At the toot of this presentation is effective communication that is delivered with heart along with a strategic mindset to maneuver the many moving pieces, including personnel and their concern with uncertainty.
